Set Your Daily Intention to Win the Day

The Path Towards Success: Setting Your Intention

While embarking on your journey with I.Liv, you will get to set intentions for each day. These intentions will guide you toward the things you desire, and steer you away from the distractions of daily life. Setting an intention each day will become an essential practice in your routine. After all, we cannot build an intentional lifestyle overnight – it will be a collection of all the daily intentions you set, the practices you learn, and the overall personal development you achieve!

The Bottom Line – Defining our Daily Intention puts our future in our own hands!

Setting intentions is about defining our own desired direction – for each day and for our life in general. It is like charting a course that we want to take to our destination of choice. Intentions are also about:

  • Building systems, habits and mindset to best support us on our journey.
  • Defining guiding principles to help us make the desired choices under all kinds of circumstances.
  • Finding ways to enjoy the ride.

Intentions are not about short-term micro-tasks, to-do lists or replication of our calendar.

Setting our intention does not guarantee success each day, but does put us in the driver seat. If we do NOT chart our own course, chances are that will still get to go for a ride, but have no say in how the journey or where we end up.

What is Intention?

An intention, by definition, is what one intends to do, a determination to act in a certain way, our resolve. In Latin, it means ‘to stretch out’ and ‘to turn your attention to something’.

Why is Intention Important?

The practice of setting Daily Intentions can change one’s life. BUT, it requires us to take a moment to PROACTIVELY define what we want to get out of each day.

As per Michelle Obama, every day is full of new possibilities and we have the power to choose, BUT if we don’t take the time to determine what we actually want to accomplish, we are giving away our say, our power to shape our day – then day by day, we give away our power to shape our own life.
By not taking the time to set the intention of our day, not only do we give up our vote on the WHAT we are doing, we give away the opportunity to feel good about our accomplishment. How can we feel that we won the day, if we don’t even define what that means?

Demands are coming from every aspect of our life, our to-do lists are numerous and bottomless – unfortunately, there is no reprieve from the outside. We must work to show up differently to the world and then magically observe as our world changes. We start by setting ourselves up to win in the first place by defining an effective, yet realistic and doable plan. Then we at least have something concrete to assess and reflect on – win or lose, we gave ourselves a shot at winning. Let’s go!
