At I.Liv we recommend putting time aside in either the morning or evening to plan so that you can anchor your day. Creating either a morning or evening planning routine is your opportunity to feel the world slow down so that you can make intentional choices and live a more enjoyable life.
Whether to plan in the morning or in the evening really depends on what works for you and your life.
Setting a Morning Planning Routine: For many, the morning is our PREMIUM hour, when our brains are optimized to solve problems, ignore distractions, and focus on the task at hand. Planning in the morning can help set your day off on the right foot so that you can carry positive vibes and energy with you all day.
Setting an Evening Planning Routine: For others, planning in the evening may be preferred as it can put your mind at ease before bed or perhaps the mornings are simply too rushed. Planning in the evening can help you wind down and reset so that you are ready to start the next day feeling focused and ready to take action.
Regardless of what time of day works best for you, dedicating 5-15 mins each day to plan will free time up later in the day! Good news is after 30 days you’ll see the payoffs for doing it. It will seem easier once you’ve accomplished a few victories on your own. You may even find that you will be so used to planning that you will feel uneasy when you DON’T do it.
