I.Liv – Intentional Living

What is Intentional Living?

Intentional Living means to live our life with vision, purpose, clarity and enjoyment – on our own terms!

Why is it important?

Intentional Living is key to achieving a balanced and fulfilled life. A life lived with awareness where we actively prioritize what we desire and value most.

In today’s challenging times, living a fulfilled and balanced life can feel impossible, especially for women juggling many competing priorities. Many women recognize they need to make changes in their life (often out of necessity due to overwhelm and burnout) – but many don’t know where to start. Effort required to make change seems overwhelming and stressful itself, so we don’t do it, we take shortcuts, and divert our energy to tangible daily demands. The problem is that in doing so we are making significant trade-offs and ultimately pay a very high price, we without realizing it,

It’s a man’s world!

Current notion of success in modern society dictates that we work ourselves into the ground – working to the point of exhaustion is a badge of honor that is handsomely rewarded. The system was put in place by men, in a workplace culture dominated by men. Arguably the system is fundamentally broken, likely doesn’t work well for men well either, but it definitely does not work for women. If there is going to be a different way, it is up to each of us to blaze the trail forward – our way! (adapted from Thrive)

I.Liv. aims to contribute to a revolution is in progress and builds on the efforts of courageous women of the past that fought for our rights to vote, to expand our role in society and be at the table where decisions are being made.

Key benefits of Intentional Living:

  • Empowerment to take responsibility and action for personal well-being and continual development of self and lifestyle
  • Personal fulfilment – gives each of us the best opportunity to live a complete, balanced and fulfilled life
  • Improved health and well-being to you, those around you, society in general

How to live intentionally?

  1. Intentional Living is a lifestyle, a way of thinking.

Intentional Living requires us to inject awareness and purposefulness into everyday decisions that shape our days. the kind of life we live and ultimately the person we are.
  2. Intentional Living is a (daily) practice.

Lastly, Intentional Living takes practise. Intentional Living involves making small and daily changes in our life to get there, to align our actions and move towards living our desired life. We must work consistently to define what we want and actually make it happen. Like we work consistently in a gym to build our muscles, we need to consistently allocate energy to ourselves and the life we are building.
  3. Intentional Living is a journey.

This is not a straightforward process, not a one-and-done effort – it evolves and flows with us and our life.

Intentional Living is a journey that we start by:

  • recognizing exactly where we are (good, bad and the ugly),
  • defining what is the desired life we seek with values that are most important to us.
  • This means what do we truly seek, based on our unique blend of needs and wants, not conventional expectations or measures of success thrust upon us from every direction.
  • making small, yet meaningful decisions and actions that work for our life today AND are build the life we desire for tomorrow.

How does I.Liv. help?

The skill of Intentional Living is not taught to us – not in school, not on the job, certainly not in society, and often not from our parents, who grew up with a different set of concerns/challenges.

Deep down we all ‘get it’, we know this is all true, but we are also faced daily with insane demands and competing priorities that make our head spin.

That is where the I.Liv. Program comes in to help. The I.Liv. provides a practical approach to intentional living that meets each member where they are at and empowers them to take their own journey – with great rewards and fun along the way!

I.Liv. is designed to help us each move from knowing what to do, to actually doing it. This is not a simple matter. Changing deeply ingrained habits is especially difficult. When we tackle habits that are product of deeply ingrained cultural / family norms, it is even harder. This is the challenge we face in redefining success on our terms and living our life intentionally every day.

To set ourselves up for success, I.Liv. has:

  • taken best practices from business and technology worlds and applied them to living intentionally.
  • built program learnings on latest data, research and scientific findings to realize that many current ways in which we live are not working and there are scientifically proved ways we can live our lives differently – ways that will have an immediate and measurable impact on our health and happiness. (adapted from Thrive, pg 19)

But, we are not done – We are looking to keep evolving the program – with input from our community. Tell us your ideas, share with us your questions! We want it *all*!

Each element of the program is simple and achievable. I.Liv. puts it all together for us. Then the magic happens in daily focus and consistency, starting the journey and sticking with it with trust, kindness and gratitude.

Through daily focus and consistency in 5-15 mins a day, I.Liv helps you start the journey and stick to it with guided practices, micro-learnings, community support, accountability – all wrapped up in a beautiful and fun experience.

Let’s go!
